Presbyterian Women News and Upcoming Events

New PW Ministry - Prayer shawl ministry is an important part of First Presbyterian Women's mission. Shawls are knit or crocheted and given to someone going through a difficult time in their life. Each shawl is started with a prayer, constructed with prayers and given away with a blessing for the recipient. Shawls have been worn by men and women for centuries; a shawl is univesal and embracing. A special shawl gives comfort and solace to someone who needs just that. Presbyterian Women have distributed more than 50 prayer shawls since implementing this ministry. Call Carol Kyner for more information - 785-856-1683.
