First Presbyterian Church of Lawrence, KS
Presbyterian Women

Purpose Statement:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves:

  • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study
  • to support the mission of the church worldwide
  • to work for justice and peace, and
  • to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church USA and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Presbyterian Women of FPC consists of a board of officers (the PW Coordinating Team) and circles which meet once a month for Bible study and fellowship.  All women of FPC are invited to be members of PW and are welcome to join one or more circles. There are a variety of circles and times to choose.  Anyone interested in starting a new circle should contact the circle representative, Rachel Lindbloom, Carol Kyner, Susan Wright or the church office for information and assistance.

Income from PW Rummage Sales is the primary source of income for PW.  A portion of the money from these events is budgeted for the work of PW at the national, Synod and Presbytery levels and to support programs and projects at FPC.  The remainder is used for scholarships and to support mission in the community.

We encourage all women who are looking for opportunities for mutual support, friendship and Bible study to join us in ministry together.  Click here for information about our events! Contact Rachel Lindbloom for more information at
