The Parish Nurse Ministry of First Presbyterian Church offers a variety of services to members and friends of the church:
- Post hospital calls to ascertain personal and family needs
- Assist with locating community resources
- Provide durable medical equipment on a lending basis, such as crutches, walkers, bath aids, etc.
- Provide a gift bag for families of new babies with information about infant needs
- Explain and help you understand your medications
- Assist with insurance of Medicare questions
- Provide information on advance directives and end of life issues
- Routine blood pressure check provided the first Sunday of each month in the church library
