Stewardship

Stewardship is the grateful response to God's gifts, grace and goodness. In our faith tradition we discover that everything we have comes as a gift from God and as people of faith we respond graciously for all the blessings we experience. As we celebrate God's generosity on our behalf, we are called to be generous with our treasure, time and talent, sharing God's gifts with the community as we work for the greater good.

Stewardship is more than giving money to the church. Stewardship is about being faithful disciples, caring for and managing all that God has given us.

The ministry of First Presbyterian Church - including the education, worship, mission, facility and staff - is supported by the gifts of its members and friends. Through our stewardship pledge, we will be responding to God's generosity and call upon our lives and we will be supporting valuable ministry in our congregation, community and world.

We are thankful for the generous support of the members and friends that has sustained this congregation for more than 150 years.

The Budget and Stewardship Committee, Jeff Southard, Moderator
